bbPress is focused on web standards, ease of use, ease of integration, and speed. We’re keeping things as small and light as possible while still allowing for great add on features through our extensive plugin system.

bbPress has been designed by Automattic – The creators of Wordpress, Wordpress MU, BuddyPress, Akismet among others. It is a lightweight, agile and compact forum software which enables the user to start his own forum on his own server.
bbPress‘ functionality can be extended to a great extent using the various plugins which are available for download. bbPress runs on PHP and also requires a MySQL Database to function.
